NWF appoints new finance chief

Banner joins from Bury-based William Hare Group, a structural steel engineering and fabrication company with most recent annual sales of £182m.

He was its group finance director and joined the board of William Hare in August 2008.

Banner has also previously worked as a chartered accountant with KPMG in its transaction services and corporate finance teams and at Shop Direct Group.

He takes over at NWF from Johnathan Ford who is leaving at the end of September to become chief financial officer of domestic repairs business HomeServe.

NWF chief executive Richard Whiting said: "I am delighted that Brendon will be joining us.

"He has a breadth of experience and capability to support the development of NWF over the coming years."
